Meet the Team

Kozzy

Kozzy (aka the Bull Moose) always had a passion and love for animals in general. He had a dream to own an acreage/small farm.  In 2019, this city boy moved to the country with his daughter Tianna and started down his new journey to make his dream a reality. Bull Moose had his work cut out for him.  He started to develop and clean up the property making it his own little peace of paradise.

Along with their pets Roxi and Chip, the first animal members to join the city boy’s family on this exciting learning curve where Casper and Finnegan, a pair of female goats. Casper and Finnegan (see goat pack below) are still with us today! The idea was “if he can keep the goats alive” with little to no experience with livestock…then maybe he could actually make this country homesteading dream a reality.

Soon enough, 15 chicks where introduced to the Bull Moose farm. Surprisingly, they also all lived and became our first small chicken flock, laying more eggs then a father daughter duo could eat in a week, with goats and chickens, Bull Moose and Tianna were living and embracing the acreage life.  The next thing fell into place all on its own.

Bull Moose got the opportunity to rescue a pregnant Mare (Arrow) and give her a new forever home. Building trust and friendship it was shortly after Arrow foaled a beautiful healthy filly (Bow). Thankfully, there was no birthing complications.  Our bond was never expected, but it has truly changed their lives. It has been a marvelous and heart warming experience working with Bow and Arrow, and seeing us all grow together.

In early 2022 when life started to have more normalcy after unimaginable world events, Bull Moose unexpectedly met Anora. She is a county girl with a free spirit, a passion for nature, and a committed to the country lifestyle.

Jeremy finally found his perfect match to continue growing Bull Moose Acres and a life together.

Anora Harney

Anora grew up in the country on an acreage outside of Onoway . Her involvement as a child in the 4H horse / sheep program gave her the opportunity and experience to work with and raise animals . She is no stranger to farm work and what it takes to raise and care for animals. She is so grateful for her time in the 4H program as it gave her the skills and confidence to care for our animals on bull moose acres. In 2020 Anora moved back to the area with her young daughter Paisley so that she could give Paisley an opportunity to grow up around family and a small town community , exposing her to the county life style and all it has to offer young children. It was the greatest decision she made and it has enriched both there lives .

Anora’s  family always had a love for outdoors and gardening, and this passion was passed on to her . Her love for plants has continued to grow and in 2023 she completed a 3 year herbal medicine program from the Earth Spirt School of mystical studies . Here she learned  about plant medicine, wild crafting and harvesting. Her dream was to one day have a greenhouse where she could use her knowledge of plants, not just for growing flowers and beautification and a hobby, but to pass on and share her information and education of plants for physical and emotional health and wellness.

When Anora isn’t working her full time job at a local daycare or doing chores on the farm, she is usually enjoying time with our horses. The farm has brought  back that lost love into her life once again.

Anora takes every opportunity to be in the woods harvesting and searching for local plant medicines making tinctures and teas . You can’t take a simple walk anywhere without Anora and Paisley exploring and geeking out over wild plants , mushrooms, or an edible berry .

She is also willing to share her passion and enthusiasm with others .. just ask her anything.

She has a open mind and heart and is making her greenhouse dream a reality with our 32’ greenhouse purchase in 2023. Anora plans on having seasonal flowers and veggies available to costumers that visit bull moose acres and is looking forward to introducing people to the benefits of using food and plants as medicine for wellness . She wants to Inspire people to bring them closer to nature, especially in the fast paced world that we live in today; for inner peace.
